High quality components – Making your business work faster!

We only use the highest quality components and cable, and we thoroughly test all installations. To allow for the very fastest in network transfer speeds we can also integrate fibre into our network designs, from as little as server-to-network backbones, through to complete fibre networks. You can use the old leads on voice systems but never use them on data networks. We make your business work faster!

Is it smooth running?

It is like throwing a load of rocks into a smooth running stream, the data will probably still get through at first but when you increase ‘the flow’, they will start to impede the throughput.

If the problem only affects one PC, take that PC to the patch cabinet and plug it directly into the hub. This may seem like an obvious thing to try but it has to be said as it proves whether the fault is actually a cabling problem or not.

Leave your cabling to us

You should use a known good port on the hub and a known good patch lead, if the machine works then the problem is either the original hub port, the patch lead, the drop lead or the fixed cabling.

From here it is easy to eliminate each part of the link, but it must be carried out methodically, one component at a time.

Structured cabling solutions are defined by “category”. The category of any cabling solution will determine the rate at which data can be transferred across it. You can be sure that the most appropriate cabling category for you will have been rigorously tested to industry standards.

Cat 5 Copper cabling
Category 5 provides a reliable, open infrastructure that will support all LANs up to and including 100Mbit/s Ethernet.

Cat 5e cabling – For LAN support up to and including 1000Mbit/s, look for systems guaranteeing Gigabit Ethernet support – a level to which all BT structured cabling schemes are installed.

Cat 6 cabling – Provides higher performance cabling systems, specified to 250MHz. Currently supports systems up to 1 Gigabit, with potential to support higher speeds in the future.

Cat 7 cabling – Specified to 600MHz, Cat 7 is a ‘fully shielded’ cabling system, which offers more than twice the bandwidth of Cat 6 but is also both bulkier and more expensive than Cat 5/6 cabling systems.

Additional Options

Fibre Optics
Suitable for high speed fibre transmission systems, including Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet Backbone technology, utilising second generation fibres such as OM1, OM2, OM3 and OS1.

Structured wiring – offers you the ability to wire your home for video, telephone and data. Everything is run through the inside of the walls, eliminating visible wires. Rooms can contain enough outlets to give you the maximum use of the wiring, both now and for the future. This means you can finally put the television anywhere you want, regardless of where the cable comes into the house and you will have the flexibility to expand with your family’s future growing needs.

Structured wiring is a concept that anticipates the present and future electronic needs for every room of your household. Structured wiring systems can be thought of as the electronic foundation for your home.

Structured wiring opens many possibilities for your home. Your television can be networked to allow everyone in your house to watch the same show from a single DVD player. Your computers can be networked to share files, internet connections and even a common printer. Home offices can be built with separate phone lines for voice, fax, modem, computer networking, and rooms can be prepared for both cable and satellite reception. These are just a few examples.

A home built with structured wiring can be added to gradually as your needs and budget allow.
